Terms & Conditions

Updated September 26, 2026

These terms cover using kbdigitalsolutions.com and working with KB Digital Solutions, a one-person business run by Kerry Ballantine in New Cuyama, California ("I," "me," or "KB Digital Solutions"). I've tried to write them the way I run the business: plainly, and fairly to both of us. If a written quote or agreement for your project says something different, the quote or agreement wins.

1.What I Offer

I provide services for small businesses and individuals, including websites and landing pages, Google Business Profile setup, visitor guides and other design work, follow-up and phone systems, bookkeeping and administrative support, AI training, and everyday computer and paperwork help. From time to time I may also sell ready-made digital products such as templates or guides.

2.Quotes & Payment

  • Before any paid work starts, you get one flat price in writing describing what's included.
  • If the scope changes, we agree on it before I do the extra work. You'll never get a bill you didn't agree to.
  • Payment timing is stated in your quote. Some projects are paid on approval of the final work; larger projects may be split into a deposit and a final payment.

3.Drafts Made Before You Hire Me

Sometimes I create a sample or draft — for example a visitor guide — before we've agreed to anything, using publicly available information about your business. There's no obligation to buy it. Until you purchase it, the draft remains my work: please don't publish, print, or distribute it. If you decide not to buy it, I won't publish it either.

4.Revisions

Your quote says how many rounds of changes are included (usually one full round). Additional rounds or new requests after approval can be added at the rate stated in your quote.

5.Who Owns the Work

  • Once you've paid in full, the finished work is yours. You can use, print, change, and publish it for your business, including in your marketing, however you like.
  • Your accounts stay in your name — domains, Google listings, hosting, social pages — and you get every login.
  • I keep ownership of my own general tools, templates, code snippets, and know-how that I use across many projects, and I give you a permanent right to use them as part of your finished work.
  • With your permission, I may show the finished work in my portfolio.

6.What You Provide

When you give me logos, photos, text, or other materials, you confirm you have the right to use them and that I may use them for your project. You're responsible for checking and approving the facts in your finished work — prices, dates, policies, and similar details — before it's published.

7.Refunds & Satisfaction

  • If I can't deliver what we agreed on, you don't pay for that part. Any deposit for work I haven't started will be refunded.
  • Once you've approved and received finished custom work, the sale is final.
  • Ready-made digital products are licensed for your own use and, because they're delivered instantly, are non-refundable. Please don't resell or redistribute them.

8.Monthly Plans

Ongoing plans are billed monthly. Any minimum term will be stated in your quote. After that, you can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice, and you keep everything that's been delivered and paid for.

9.Other Companies' Services

Much of what I set up runs on other companies' platforms — web hosting, Google, email and texting tools, design software. Their terms, prices, and outages are outside my control, but I'll always help you sort out a problem when one comes up.

10.Using This Website

The text, graphics, and design of this website belong to KB Digital Solutions. Please don't copy them for your own site. The information here is provided as general guidance and may change.

11.Affiliate Links

I occasionally recommend tools using affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend things I'd use myself, and I'll always tell you if there's a free option.

12.Limitation of Liability

I work carefully, but I can't guarantee specific business results such as search rankings, bookings, or sales. To the extent the law allows, my total responsibility for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid me for that project, and I'm not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits.

13.Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If we ever disagree, let's talk first — most things can be fixed with a phone call.

14.Changes & Contact

I may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Work already quoted follows the terms in place when you accepted the quote. Questions? Email support@kbdigitalsolutions.com or call or text (805) 907-8340.

Not sure what something here means for your project? Call or text (805) 907-8340 and I'll explain it in plain English.
